It looks like "Pretty Woman" actor Richard Gere has a new pretty woman by his side these days. Gere is now reportedly "quietly dating" Bravo's "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi.

"It started very recently and quietly," says an Us Weekly source. "It's very new. I wouldn't even go as far as calling them a couple. They are dating. It's the first time Padma has dated anyone since Teddy [Forstmann], and it's something she's been approaching very, very delicately. They're just getting to know each other. They're just having fun."

Gere's "fun relationship" with Lakshmi comes in the midst of Gere's divorce with his wife Carey Lowell after eleven years of marriage.  The two announced that they were separating about eight months ago. Gere was previously married to model Cindy Crawford as well.

According to Page Six, the new lovebirds are keeping things low-key and have snuck in some rendezvous time in New York City while Gere films his new movie, "Time Out Of Mind." In the movie, Gere plays a homeless man trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter Maggie, played by "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" actress Jena Malone.

This could be a good pairing since both Lakshmi and Gere have a few things in common that might make them a good match if the rumors are true.

Lakshmi has also gone through a divorce. She was married to award-winning novelist Salman Rushdie for three years before they split in 2007. After her divorce, she was linked to billionaire Teddy Forstmann before he tragically passed away from cancer in 2011.

Lakshmi and Gere are also parents. Lakshmi is the mother of 3-year-old Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell, whom she had with venture capitalist Adam Dell. Gere has 14 year-old son named Homer James Jigme Gere from his marriage to Carey Lowell.
