It was not an ordinary Thursday for reality star Kristin Cavallari, who was hospitalized after being involved in a car crash and suffering minor injuries. TMZ broke the shocking news, although the publication reports that investigations are still ongoing as to how it all happened.

However, a source told the publication that Cavallari who was in Chicago at that time and possibly driving alone was hit by another car. When "The Fabulist" star was rushed to a hospital, his husband Jay Cutler immediately went to be by her side, the news agency reports.

Furthermore, Cavallari was reportedly not with her three children, Camden, 3, Jaxon, 1, and newborn Saylor during the accident. Meanwhile, E! News reports that Cavallari has incurred an injury, dislocating her elbow but she is reportedly recovering.

"She was hit by another driver in Chicago. She is doing fine and will be discharged from the hospital shortly," the actress and fashion designer's representative Jack Ketsoyan told the publication. The news comes after "The Hills" star's brother Michael Cavallari was recently reported to have been found dead last December 2015, E! News previously reported.

The publication revealed that although the case is still under investigation after Cavallari's brother was missing for days in Utah, his body was found days after. "Michael Cavallari's body was found three miles from where his car was wrecked in the high desert of Grand County, Utah," authorities told the news agency.

Speculations about the cause of Michael's death rose, initial findings showed that "there were no signs of major trauma and no suicide note," the authorities said as quoted by the news outlet. The authorities added, "Cops did not find any evidence of drugs or alcohol either."

Before being involved in an accident herself, Cavallari previously released a statement regarding his brother's deatH, telling the publication, "We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother's body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."

The news agency further claimed that it has been tough for Cavallari since during that time, she just gave birth to her third child Saylor. Also, since she was a hands-on mother, she didn't have much help especially during the difficult time that her brother passed away, the publication adds.
