Through the years, South America's dairy industries have improved and grown. Among its milk producing countries are Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica and other Central American countries. With the industry's increasing demand, no wonder why Tambero is also gaining popularity. With its web-based global system for cattle management, it is indeed the perfect "buddy" for dairy farmers.

The Tambero's history started when Eddie Rodriguez von der Becke was still working for a Uruguay-based multi-national software company. His in-laws were raising livestock for a living in Argentina when he realized that the same level of technology which he has employed in his company can be used to help his family run their farm operations efficiently and smoothly.

"Our platform is global. This allows us to reach unexpected places where there was no possibility of access to advanced technology in agriculture and cattle software," said Rodriguez von der Becke.

This free software, currently hosting users not just in Latin America but in over 150 countries all across the globe, was launched in 2011. The company's goal is to help farmers especially those that are from the most isolated places.

According to Fast Company, the Tambero app or software lets dairy farmers use QR codes to manage their plots, present comparative reports and see a satellite image of their farm thus helping them increase efficiency and productivity.

"We aim to provide a global platform for agriculture and cattle management, based on modernity, compatibility, ease of use and offering more free products for users," explained Rodriguez von der Becke. He also assured that by using their system and applying the best practices, small and medium dairy farmers will be able to optimize their farm's production for sure.

With just a matter of seconds, even without connecting to the internet, users can now manage their business by simply using their gadgets. They just have to download the software from the website for free.

"We offer the cattle management system for free, because we believe that we can make the difference between students, small and medium farmers of the world if they can have access to simple and free technology from any device," he explained.

The Tabero app and software is offered to the market for free, but the company also has a paid version of it. Usually offered to agricultural cooperatives, the premium version provides access to application forms, document repositories, comparative reports and other special features.
