Colombian singer Shakira, famous for her hit "Hips Don't Lie" recently made headlines for her Disney character in "Zootopia" having more curves than what was originally planned. El Pais reports that Shakira requested that her character Gazelle should have more hips, similar to hers.

The highly anticipated Disney film "Zootopia" which stars Shakira's voice gained even more attention when the singer revealed just how closely she worked with the film's management to achieve the kind of character she wanted.

"It looked to me like she needed more hips [and] I asked them to give her more," Shakira told the news agency. She added, "And they did it!"

The voice behind the blonde character Gazelle also expressed how different it is, this time, working on an animated project since she was given the privilege to have a say on the character that she dubbed.

"I felt that we had many things in common," she the newspaper adding, "A lot of details are mine, the eye color, the eyelashes, the hair. Even the clothes." Furthermore, the publication revealed that Shakira was even previously hesitant to accept similar projects but not the current one since she was blown away about the character.

The news agency further reveals that the actress also brought her son Milan along with his friends to see the movie during its premiere proving to the industry that she definitely loved working with the project.

Talking about how she got the job, Shakira also revealed through the news outlet that she got a call from Disney and she had to fly to Los Angeles to see the sketches for her character. Right then and there, Shakira reportedly approved because of her interest in Gazelle.

Meanwhile, the singer who was previously on hiatus because of giving birth to her second son, Sasha slowly came back to the music industry and will be releasing a new song soon. Billboard reports that the singer's hit "Try Everything" will be included in the film's soundtrack.

The news agency adds that Shakira is currently working hard to be back in her music career this March just around the same time that her film will be released.

Furthermore, "Zootopia" which also stars Ginnifer Goodwin for the voice of lead character Lt. Judy Hoops and Jason Bateman who plays Nicke Wild will be released on March 4, the publication reports.

The story is reportedly focused on the life of the animals in Zootopia where Goodwin's character, Hoops goes into an incredible journey to solve a mysterious case with the help of Bateman's character, Wild, IMDb reports.
