The Pokémon Company has posted a warning on its official Japanese website about a number of scams about beta tests regarding "Pokémon GO." The increasing amount of fake websites from the past few months that are for personal details from including their email address have prompted the move of the video game company.

"With regard to the beta test of Pokémon GO, not have been anything announcement now. As soon as they are about the new information, it will be announced in the Pokémon GO official site," the statement said as translated by International Business Times.

According to My Nintendo News, the Pokémon Company has no current plans to have sign-up sheets for its beta tests as well as no details about when it can be accessed or its availability. The "Pokémon GO" scams have spread through social media sites and Google search results with the user needing to complete a survey to have access to the "beta program."

More details of the augmented reality game "Pokémon GO" is expected this coming March at the 2016 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California. In a report by Gotta Be Mobile, Niantic, one of the game's developers will be releasing new information and possibly the release date of "Pokémon GO."

The GDC official website noted that Niantic CEO John Hanke is scheduled to appear at the conference to talk about how they developed "Pokémon GO" and how players can experience the game outside of their own homes.

"Attendees will get a first-hand, in-depth look at how players are interacting and exploring the world with one another through 'Pokémon GO,' the collaborative approach to design and development for the game and the next evolution of augmented reality and real-world mobile gameplay experiences," the statement said.

"Pokémon Go" has been the talk of the gaming community these past few weeks and the release of the "Train On" commercial during last Sunday's Super Bowl 50 further increased people's interest. Adweek reports that according to Engagement Labs, the Pokémon Company tops the list of Super Bowl advertisers that used Instagram to market their products.

The ad is part of the company's 20th Anniversary celebration of the release of their very first Pokémon video game on Feb. 27. On the other hand, "Pokémon GO" is the first augmented reality game by Nintendo and will be available for free download on the Google Play and App Store with additional in-app purchases.
