The highly-anticipated "Rocket League" release for the Xbox One is finally happening, and Psyonix has provided the exact date when the critically-acclaimed, addictive game is set to hit the shelves.

According to the game developer, "Rocket League" for Xbox One will be available for purchase on Feb. 17, and the game, together with three awesome DLC bundles, will cost an extremely reasonable $19.99, reported Operation Sports.

"Rocket League" has been immensely successful when it was released for the PS4 and the PC last summer. Featuring a massively multiplayer environment, the game offers players a unique twist on a simple game of soccer, using the chaotic vehicular element of popular games like "Twisted Metal" and the intense action of classic soccer games.

Though the rules of the game are quite simple, the game adds an extremely cool twist by having players use rocket-powered vehicles instead of human soccer players. But that is not all. Each of the vehicles is also equipped with unique abilities such as boosters and weapons, making matches extremely engaging.

However, the most notable feature of the game that has pushed it towards insane levels of popularity is its multiplayer mode, where players team up and face off on a soccer deathmatch. In this particular mode, players are immersed in a very potent blend of teamwork and pure unadulterated chaos, reported Game Rant.

While it's true that "Rocket League" for the Xbox One is officially going to be released next week, there is, however, one thing that might disappoint its fans. As its turns out, Psyonix's anticipated title would not be compatible with cross-platform play.

The inability of the Xbox One release to support cross-platform gaming might be a disappointment for a lot of fans, especially those who were looking forward to playing matches with the "Rocket League" community on the PS4 and PC. But Psyonix has assured fans that the Xbox One release will still be an awesome game nonetheless.

After all, the Xbox One community is already pretty massive, and with the game's price set to just $19.99, there is a huge chance that a lot of gamers would be purchasing the Xbox One release as soon as it becomes available.

Of course, there's the added offer of the three free DLCs as well. Bundled with the Xbox One game, "Rocket League" will also come with Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars and Chaos Run, three DLCs that will give players a massive amount of decals, wheels, premium vehicles, and other components that are designed to make the game's already-immersive gameplay even more engaging.
