Priyanka Chopra is officially joining the cast of the new “Baywatch” movie. The Bollywood star is set to film with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron soon. The “Quantico” star will take on the role of the villain Victoria Leeds.

Johnson welcomed Chopra to the “Baywatch” cast via Instagram. Other members of the cast include Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera. Hadera will play Johnson’s love interest. Rohrbach will play C.J. Parker, which was famously played by Pamela Anderson in the original TV series. Reportedly, comedian Hannibal Buress will also appear as a beach visitor.

“She’s one of the biggest stars in the world. Insanely talented, relentlessly smokin’ and extremely dangerous - perfect for #BAYWATCH. Welcome @PriyankaChopra to our bad ass and incredibly dysfunctional family,” he wrote. “Cue RATED R slo-mo running on the beach,” the action star wrote on Instagram.

In the footage, Johnson and Chopra were at the beach with the huge waves behind them. Johnson described Chopra as one the biggest stars in the world while Chopra added that The Rock was the biggest star in the world. Johnson welcomed her to “Baywatch” and she replied that she was happy to be part of the film. He then said he will have his hands full dealing with the new villain because “she’s mean.” Chopra agreed.

Chopra also shared The Rock’s Instagram video and stated that being bad is what she does best so people better watch out.

Chopra played the protagonist in “Quantico” as FBI agent Alex Parrish. In “Baywatch,” she will be taking on a new role of a big villain. It will be interesting to see how well she can play the other side for a change. Fans also expect her to have an Indian-sounding name in the movie.

People are reportedly getting more excited about “Baywatch” as more of the cast members are being revealed. The original TV show starring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson was a huge hit, mainly because of the beauty and sexiness of the characters. More fit and sultry stars are expected to be added to the list in the coming months.

Johnson stated that Seth Gordon will serve as director. Filming is slated to begin later in February 2016. Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are also set to direct.

“Baywatch” is set to premiere in May 2017. More updates and details are expected soon.
