While on One Direction's Where We Are world tour currently, Liam Payne leaves everyone wondering with a series of cryptic tweets regarding his romantic relationships.

On Friday morning (May 2), the 20-year-old singer took Twitter to share several regretful messages with his approximately 16.5 million fans and followers. He started his tweet binge with "Can't be without you," followed by, "Worse thing I ever did was let you go." He then tweeted, "No all I got left is the thought of you."

As many try to figure out what they all mean, some fans think that the "Midnight Memories" singer is regretting his previous breakup and pining for his former girlfriend Danielle Peazer. Payne and Peazer were considered as one of the most solid couples in pop industry until they suddenly split back in May last year after struggling to make time to see each other because of their busy schedules.

What would Sophia Smith, his childhood friend and current girlfriend of eight months, make of Liam Payne's tweets? It has been recently claimed that things are not going as well between the couple at the moment. "Sophia's worried that Liam's growing more distant from her. He sometimes struggles to cope with the fame. It's as if he's taking it out on her," a source revealed. "She wants to be the person who helps him through the good and bad times, but he keeps her at a distance. Then he posts cryptic tweets like, 'nobody really knows me,' at 4 a.m."

During his international travels as part of 1D's ongoing tour, Payne has been hinting about how lonely he feels on the social media platform. Earlier this week, the "Best Song Ever" hitmaker tweeted, "Can't sleep for Nothing." He then wrote, "Had forgotten how lonely hotel rooms are," as well as "Drake- doing it wrong. so true." Also, the One Direction member was seemingly referring to the lyrics from the Canadian rapper. "When a good thing goes bad / Its not the end of the world / Its just the end of a world / That you have with one girl."
