Every child's dream to visit a Disneyland theme park may cost more during peak season starting Sunday as Walt Disney Co. introduces new Seasonal Pricing for 1-Day tickets.

According to an advisory from the world famous theme park chain, the new pricing strategy would help boost the number of ticket sales as much as the addition of new and exciting attractions to their theme parks would.

"As you may have read in the news, the demand for Disney Parks continues to grow, particularly during peak periods. At the same time, we have an unwavering commitment to exceeding the expectations of all our guests," Disney Parks Editorial Content Director Thomas Smith wrote in the advisory.

A total of six parks in Anaheim, California and Orlando, Florida will be shifting to the said policy, which will see a ticket price increase of up to 20 percent from the original price during the parks' busiest days, according to a report from Bloomberg.

Aside from the holidays, Disneyland Parks and Resorts in Florida and California will increase the price of one-day passes during weekends as well as during the summer vacation in July where visitors are most likely to come as school is out.

During "peak" days, one-day tickets in California Adventure and Disneyland parks in Anaheim are set to reach $119 per day from the original price of $99 while "regular" day adult tickets will be set at $105.

Meanwhile, adult tickets for Orlando's Magic Kingdom will increase to $124 from $105 while the Animal Kingdom resorts, Epcot and Hollywood Studios will change from $97 to $114 for a single-day pass during peak days.

According to Smith, this new pricing scheme would "help better spread visitation throughout the year" and give consumers both more options and savings.

"If guests plan their visit for September, they'll have a variety of options, including many days in the value period, which will give them the opportunity to pay less for a 1-Day ticket. If they plan to visit during a peak period, like the winter holidays, they will pay more," he added.

All these ticket price changes have already taken effect as of Sunday, Feb. 28.

Price changes will only be applicable to single-day tickets, while multi-day passes are expected to remain as is.

Among the newest attractions in the Disneyland theme parks include a "Star Wars"-themed attraction as well as one that is inspired by the record-breaking animated film "Frozen."
