Brazil will look for some momentum when it takes on Haiti in Group B of the Copa America 2016 on Wednesday.

Brazil disappoint in opener

The Selecao had a poor game against Ecuador on Saturday, a rather open affair with both sides trading one chance after another in what ended up being a 0-0 draw.

Brazil entered this tournament without its top stars Neymar and Douglas Costa, both out with injury. Despite that, the team still had sufficient star power to be considered a favorite in this group.

However the inability to crack Ecuador's defense proved that this Brazilian side lacks some serious firepower up front and could struggle to score as the tournament unfolds.

Brazil lucky to have one point

Moreover, Brazil should be thanking their lucky stars that they have one point as a controversial goal was taken away from Ecuador. With the game deadlocked, Miller Bolanos burst up the right flank. As the ball reached the goal line, he crossed it at the goal where Brazilian netminder Alisson fumbled the ball and saw it creep through his hands and into the goal. If you thought Robert Green was bad in the 2010 World Cup, then wait until you watch Alisson's disaster.

However the goal was nullified after it was decided that the ball had been out of bounds on the play.

Haiti meanwhile lost 1-0 against Peru and is unlikely to get a better chance at getting back into this tournament.

Player to watch

Philippe Coutinho is this team's star player now. He needs to shine like it if Brazil has any chance at making a deep run. He was the best player in the opener against Ecuador, creating a few strong chances, but he needs to execute. This game will real test his star power.

History favors Brazil

There have been two matches between these teams and Brazil has won both of them in blowout fashion. In 1974 the Brazilians topped Haiti 4-0. In 2004, the Selecao managed a 6-0 win.

Prediction

This is not a great Brazilian side, but look for another blowout, this time by 4-0.
