Two hospitals in Belgium have hired new receptionists to help guide guests around the hospital and what makes them special is the fact that they aren't even human.

On June 13, two hospitals, located in Liege and Ostend, started using robots that were previously tested in Japan and France to greet guests. They are the first of their kind to be used in a medical setting.

Built by Zora Bots, the robots are 4 feet and 7 inches tall, speak slowly, can recognize if they are talking to an adult or child, understand 20 different languages and are worth $23,000.

The robots are programmed to be friendly and remain positive at all times while also serving as support to guests.

Over 300 other hospitals have been using one of the company's much smaller robots, called Nao, which are also used in the Liege and Ostend hospitals for pediatric support.
