A disturbing, video shared on YouTube, shows the humiliating way in which a group of English soccer fans treated a couple of children while celebrating the UEFA Euro 2016 in France.

While in the streets of Lille, the English fans began throwing coins on the floor and laughed as the young boys, who are from the Roma community, ran to quickly pick up the money.

They continued to humiliate the young boys by throwing the money in different directions.

Many comments on the video criticized the men for their behavior and for treating the boys in such a disrespectful manner.

"There are better ways you can help these children...[they are] idiots and disrespectful to do it like this," said one comment.

A statement from a Roma advocacy group condemned the actions by the English fans.

"We firmly condemn what happened and we underline the urgency to take measures against anti-gypsyism, because in Europe every day the balance shifts to the far-right," read the statement.

"These episodes of racism and intolerance should be taken as a serious alarm bell of what will be next."

Over the years, France has deported and removed thousands of gypsies from various cities, despite their efforts to hide.

They tend to live in cramped camps, face poverty and are often discriminated against by people who think they are thieves and dangerous.
