Dwyane Wade's career long run in Miami could be on the verge of coming to a revolting halt.

ESPN is reporting initial contract talks between the Hall of Fame guard and Heat management have stalled and he is now ready to field offers from other teams once the free agency period officially opens on July 1.

Word is Wade's reps have spread the word around the league that the al-star guard will soon be on the open market after 13 seasons and three titles in South Beach.

Last Summer's Talks Also Contentious

The two sides endured a similar back and forth showdown last summer before they came to terms on a one-year, $20 million extension. The 34-year-old veteran guard went on to average 19 points, five assists and four rebounds over 74 games.

After the Heat were eliminated by the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference semifinals, Wade let it be known that he was hoping to return to the only NBA home he has ever known.

"I hope that everything is quiet and works out the way I want it to," he said. "But I have no control over that, as much as people think. It's a lot of moving parts in free agency. I'm not worried about it."

But perhaps Heat fans should be. Miami has roughly $40 million in cap space to spend this summer with nine free agents. Chief among them are Wade, center Hassan Whiteside and forward Luol Deng.

Miami in on Kevin Durant Sweepstakes

Miami is also rumored to have already arranged a meeting with forward Kevin Durant, widely considered the jewel of the entire free agency pool.

Meanwhile, some are speculating Wade could be eyeing a reunion with former Heat running-mate LeBron James, who is also a free agent but widely expected to resign with the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

James is on record in asserting that he hopes the two can again join forces before their playing days are over.

"I really hope that, before our career is over, we can all play together," he said of him, Wade and all-star pals Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. "I would actually take a pay cut to do that. It would be pretty cool. I've definitely had thoughts about it."
