Juventus will take on Melbourne Victory in the International Champions Cup on Saturday.

The Italian side had been building itself up for years only to see its rebuild fall apart this summer with the departure of major players. The two big ones are Alvaro Morata and Paul Pogba. The Spanish forward thrived at Juvenuts, scoring 27 goals for Juventus over two years. The striker was bought back by Real Madrid despite being relatively young and a few years away from his prime.

Pogba is a more devastating loss to the team as he was the cog in the midfield. The team has seemingly replaced him with Miralem Pjanic, but the Bosnian is nowhere near as versatile as the Frenchman.

Other departures this summer include Martin Caceres, Rubinho, Juan Cuadrado, Andrea Favilli and Simone Padoin. The team did bring in Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia, so the talent pool remains solid overall.

The Italian side is seen as one that could be a contender for the Champions League with such players as Mario Mandzukic, Giorgio Chiellini, Gianluigi Buffon, Leonard Bonucci and Claudio Marchisio in the mix.
