South Korea almost made top 10 at the 2016 Olympics with a total number of 17 medals, seven of them being gold. Canada came in at number 20, with 15 total medals, three of them being gold. The country’s major high light was sending first-time Olympian Andre de Grasse who played close numbers to the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt.

Fans may remember Mexico’s biggest highlight at the 2016 Rio Olympics when trolls body shamed young gymnast Alexa Moreno. Social media enthusiasts quickly came to her rescue calling her “beautiful” and “well-accomplished” while her biggest highlight was placing 21st in the Women’s vault.

Towards the end of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Moreno’s nation placed in the bottom 70 for the Rio 2016 medal tracker, winning one bronze medal for the Boxing category.

Mexico at London 2012 Olympics

That is nearly 30 places down from the 2012 London medal tracker for Mexico, where the Latin nation placed at number 39 with seven total medals, one of them being gold. Meanwhile, South Korea placed in the Top 5 for the 2012 London Olympics, with 28 total medals, 13 of them being gold.

South Korea was number five in the London 2012 games and Germany took its place in Rio 2016. The host country, Brazil, came in at number 15, with a total of 14 medals, and four of them gold.
