A day after The Pokémon Company International confirmed the third-generation remakes to "Pokémon Ruby Version" and "Pokémon Sapphire Version," a sneak peek footage appeared on YouTube.

The 39-second YouTube video, uploaded on the official Pokémon YouTube account, does not contain narration but focused on visuals. Two Pokémon appear on the sneak peek video, and they are the mascots of the remakes: Groudon and Kyogre. The legendary Pokémon have also fronted the original video games' cover art back in March 2003 across North America.

The Ground-type Pokémon Groudon is the first of the two to appear in the video. Despite having a weakness to Water types, Groudon is seen emerging from the Hoenn waters, likely being awakened from its large magma chambers.

Groudon is seen activating its Ability Drought, which summons sunlight into a battle. As a result of Drought, damage by Fire-type attacks can increase. Aside from Groudon, three other Pokémon are capable of having the Drought Ability -- Vulpix, Ninetales, and Mega Charizard Y.

The pure Water-type Kyogre is next to be spotlighted in the latest trailer. Kyogre's scene is similar to Groudon, such as emerging from Hoenn's waters. The difference from Groudon is Kyogre showcases its Ability, Drizzle. With Drizzle, rain is summoned into the battle and can boost Water-type moves. Aside from Kyogre, Politoed is the only other Pokémon capable of having Drizzle as its Ability.

The trailer of the third-generation remakes, known as "Pokémon Omega Ruby Version" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Version," were first shown in Japan as part of the "Pokémon Get☆TV" program. The footage was later uploaded on YouTube for international fans.

The new trailer did not indulge in any other information such as how the characters would appear or a specific release date. The remakes have been given a November 2014 worldwide launch.

The confirmation of "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire" comes more than a decade when the games first launched. The original games introduced 135 new Pokémon to the franchise, which then brought the total Pokémon count to 386. By 2014, following the debuts of "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y," the Pokémon franchise features 719 Pokémon.

As Latin Post reported, an additional unknown about the new games are the roles of Mega Evolution and connections to the new Kalos region, both introduced on "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" in October 2013. Several Pokémon introduced in the original third-generation games are capable of Mega Evolving such as Absol, Banette, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Manectric, Mawile, Medicham. The dual Steel-and-Rock type Aggron can also Mega Evolve and is one of the six Pokémon under Hoenn Pokémon League Champion Steven. It is unknown if Steven or Wallace is the Pokémon League Champion in the remakes, but regardless, each have a Pokémon that can Mega Evolve -- as Wallace owns a Gyarados.

The originals were the best-selling games ever for the Game Boy Advance, with 16 million units sold worldwide, which at the time was more than the 14 million sold for "Pokémon Gold Version" and "Pokémon Silver Version" but considerably down from "Pokémon Red Version" and "Pokémon Blue Version's" 27 million sold.
