After a creative difference over Deadpool 2, Director Tim Miller left it earlier this month and shifting his production over Sonic the Hedgehog for Sony Pictures. It looks like for a long time, Tim Miller and longtime Blur studio collaborator Jeff Fowler have had their head over this project.

Reports from avclub says, Tim Miller is hardly developing and producing the Sonic movie, which means he is not directing it. Miller will be working as an executive producer, and the two are working with Neal H. Moritz. The script will be written by the creators of Golan the Insatiable, Patrick Casey and Josh Miller.

Miller told that Jeff is a great director with strong story instincts. The Movie will give him the opportunity to bring his experience in animation about a new dimension to his iconic character, as stated by Kotaku.

The story will revolve around Sonic and his friends like Knuckles and Tails who collects items and points to mow down the global domination of Doctor Eggman Robotnik. Hopefully they will include Rogue The Bat, Big The Cat, and the bad ass Shadow The Hedgehog which are equally Sonic's beloved friends. The first saga game was released in the year 1991 where Sonic was one of the world's iconic gaming and character. It sold more than 350 million copies on various platforms.

A CG animation film production company of the SEGA SAMMY Group,Sony Pictures and Marza Animation Planet will be doing the production of the movie. Along with Moritz, Marza's Takeshi Ito and Mie Onishi will be joining hands into producing. And, Toby Ascher will be joining Miller as an executive producers. As for co-producers, it will be Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons of DJ2 Entertainment.

As for Deadpool 2, there has not been any announcement made on who's directing the movie however fans think it would be a great project for Quentin Tarantino.
