Leonardo DiCaprio have shifted his focus from Hollywood for a while to concentrate his career on environmental activism. The fans can now take a free tour with Leonardo on the advocacy documentary "Before The Flood" with National Geographic. The docufilm examines the climate change around the world.

According to the The Verge, the movie is debuted in September at Toronto International Film Festival and to be in theatres by October 21. But, it looks like the movie is now released by National Geographic which is hosted by DiCaprio and directed by Fisher Stevens. The movie is free for viewing on YouTube. National Geographic is trying to reach a wider audience. But the movie will be released online until November 6th.

The movie have made a global case in the week leading upto the 2016 US election as reported by by IBTimes. "Before The Flood" presents the dramatic changes that is affecting the world due to climatic change.The filmmakers of the movie created it with an intention to create awareness before the November 8 election.

Leonardo said that people cannot afford to have leaders in office at this critical moment who do not believe on the modern science of climate change. He also added that, the world needs leaders who are not just believers in science but, someone who can take an immediate action.

The sole purpose they wanted was to make the movie was for it to come out before the next election. It's to set an example for others to follow.

The film is intended to provoke global action more than individual action and present climate science to a general and possibly resistant audience. DiCaprio said at TIFF that, one of the most important thing he  grasped from this entire journey is that it has moved way beyond personal action.
