Apple has recently launched the new version of iPhone - the iPhone 7. The high-end device has featured some cutting-edge specs. Rumors say that the next-gen iPhone will feature a curved screen as it coincides with the phone's 10th-year anniversary.

Many companies like Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi came with the concept of curved screens in their devices. It seems strange to think that Apple will ever try to copy Samsung - its key rival, but apparently, it seems to be happening now. Samsung was the first player in the curved design screen; the South Korean corporation had launched its flagship Galaxy S6 with edge-to-edge curved display.

The current Apple flagships have 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches displays. If rumors are to be believed, the next versions of the iPhone might feature 5 and 5.8-inch displays for iPhone 8, with the larger version possible sporting an OLED screen. According to Barclays Research Note to MacRumors, the devices will have larger and curved displays.

It is also being said that screen will feature edge-to-edge without bezels display. The California-based tech giant hasn't increased the screen size since the launch 0f iPhone 6 in 2014.

Furthermore, apart from the display, many speculations are floating on social media sites regarding the iPhone's next version. In terms of design, the device could come up with glass and metal build for ots materials without the home button. In place of it, the Touch ID will be featured in the display.

According to Macworld, the US tech giant might discontinue the 'S' generation strategy.

Samsung has revolutionized the curved display concept with its latest Galaxy S series. This concept might also push other rivals for the curved design. Apple hasn't come with any groundbreaking feature since iPhone 6; introducing a larger curved edge display in next generation flagship could be a game changer for the company.
