Ever since Phil Jackson made comments on the Cleveland Cavilers forward LeBron James and his business partners the player stated that he does no plan on talking to the president. Apparently Jackson referred to James's associates as a "posse."

He also evoked a story when James wanted to spend an extra night in Cleveland during a road trip. As for James he directly said "No" when he was asked if he would like to speak with Jackson as reported on Sports Illustrated.

It appears that Jackson realized after it was too late, the Knicks president admitted that he was not supposed to discuss other team players and his violated one of the tenets. Jackson believes that he also used innocent language and it seems that he is not regretting using the word "posse" as per Daily News.

James said that the comment did not affect him but he made a statement saying "How far we still have to go as African Americans, even in the light of today." The NBA star has always had a high respect for everyone including his peers, players and coaches.

He concluded with a statement "My only mindset is to get our guys ready and execute the game plan. I got a job to do every night and that's to lead this group, and I'll do that. James has been a good leader and he continues to do so.

On one part of the story these are incidents that come up and fade away naturally in the NBA world, while some are taken seriously and some incidents just die out naturally.

James is averaging at 23.9 points with 9.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists this season. The Cleveland Cavaliers are all set to play the New York Knicks today and it is surely going to be one exciting match.
