BBC has just released the second trailer for the most-awaited Season 4 of the detective drama Sherlock. It's just days away from this series to be showing perfectly on a new year!

From UPI entertainment news, the 45-second clip features the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular sleuth, Martin Freeman as his close friend John Watson, Louise Brealey as his love interest Molly Hooper, Mark Gatiss as his brother Mycroft and Rupert Graves as his associate, Detective Inspector Lestrade.

Toby Jones whose villain Culverton Smith joins the cast this season. Yes, a "disgusting villain".

Although not much is known from his role, on a post from Radiotimes, it was said that creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, producer Sue Vertue and star Amanda Abbington have opened up on the actor's way of acting with such a uniquely terrible villain.

"He's lovely, Toby, he's a very very funny man," Moffat told the audience at a special Bafta Cymru Sherlock celebration event. "And genuinely scary."

On the trailer, Jones as Culverton Smith asked: "What's the very worst thing you could do to your best friends? Tell them your darkest secret."

From an update from Rappler, Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes, as the protagonist - is the brash, calculating, brilliant, and emotionally distant man. So when he spoke the words, "I love you," it seems to be signaling danger.

The 4th season of the hit mini-series looks threatening and even our Sherlock seems to feel the threat to be lurking!The show will air on January 1 on the BBC in the United Kingdom and on PBS in the United States.

According to Entertainment Weekly, BBC Worldwide North America and Fathom Events are partnering for the screenings, which will be held in about 350 cinemas nationwide. The screening will also feature 15 minutes of extras.
