The unexpected winter finale of "Jane the Virgin" left its avid viewers wondering what will happen next if the rumors are really true, making way for a long wait until January next year. Although it is only for a month to wait, episode 7 started the hiatus on November 28, marking it to be the last show for 2016. Due to unknown reasons, the sudden postponement of episode 8 might be in preparation for a big change on the casts or the storyline.

There have been rumors that Michael Cordeno Jr (Brett Dier) will be focusing on his new career as a stand-up comedian and eventually will not go back to the group. As iTech Post reports, Rogelio de la Vega wants to have a baby with his matchmaker and Xiomara Villanueva bares it all to Jane Villanueva that she knew Bruce was married even before their affair started.

Rafael Solano, on the other hand, was the adopted son of Emilio Solena; upon knowing this sought the help of Michael to search for his 'real parents' which lead them to Jane's cousin, Catalina. Catalina is believed to be Rafael's new love interest.

As some viewers connect Catalina to Rafael' real parents, International Business Times consider that idea as one of the few highlights of the next episode. Another one is a hint for Michael's future in "Jane the Virgin" wherein the production seems to be preparing the viewers that he might not be able to continue further. Although rumors already plague the mysterious next episodes of the show, there may be a chance that Jane is really meant for Rafael.

For now, viewers will have to satisfy their anticipation by watching the reruns of season 3 episodes via online until it comes back on to the TV screens on January 23. A trailer of "Jane the Virgin" season 3 episode 8 is made available to wrap up.
