Looks like DC can't wait to bring to the big screen two of the most powerful super villains/heroes. It is now official: DC Extended Universe will release a standalone movie starring Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Will Smith's Deadshot soon. DC will release "Gotham City Sirens" where Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn while a movie featuring Deadshot will be next in line.

Cinema Blend mentioned that the two characters were on the top of the list when it came to bankability. "Suicide Squad" got only 26% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but was a box office hit in the US and abroad. The roles of Deadshot and Harley Quinn were the most popular which possibly sealed the deal for their own standalone films. There are also rumors that because of "Suicide Squad's" worldwide success, there is no doubt that there will be a sequel to the film.

DCEU's focus on super villains has given them an edge over their close competitor, Marvel Cinematic Universe which has lacked villain/hero themed films to offer their fans. Today USA also reported on the next DC Extended Universe films and said that the Deadshot film was unexpected but the super villainess film was announced right after "Suicide Squad" made it big on the big screen.

Meanwhile, "Gotham City Sirens" will feature Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn however, Joker won't be her love interest in the film. Poison Ivy will be her lover in the film who will do all she can for Harley to forget about the clown prince. Harley will end up choosing between Ivy and Joker at the end of the film but it is rumored that she will end up with neither.

If the movie will follow the comics, Harley will ultimately learn that she does not need the Joker or Ivy's help. She will have her own band of super villain/heroes and possibly team up with Cat Woman too.
