It was fight night at the UFC 202 between welterweights Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the fight between the two athletes actually happened before they even stepped into the Octagon. Diaz and his team began to throw water bottles at McGregor which sparked an all-out water bottle fight.

Bloody Elbow reported that the two were both fined for the August 12 incident with Diaz to pay $50,000 and to engage in 50 hours community service. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor was told to pay $75,000, participate in a public service announcement and 50 hours community service. Diaz was reported to have reached a settlement with the NAC but until the fine is paid, he won't be allowed to fight in Las Vegas.

On the other hand, Conor McGregor has contested the decision of the NAC and because of his decision; he was denied a license from Nevada. He won't be able to fight in the city again.

Sherdog also reported on the backstage bottle-throwing fiasco and mentioned that an MGM security guard got hurt during the incident. Even former UFC fighter Jake Shields became part of the incident as he was about to launch a laptop belonging to a reporter at "The Notorious." McGregor contested the decision and petitioned for a judicial review in a Nevada court. He named Nevada Athletic Commission Executive Director Bob Bennett and the NAC as respondents.

Conor "The Notorious" McGregor beat Nate Diaz via unanimous decision that night but even if he won, it looks like he won't live to fight another day in Las Vegas. McGregor lost to Diaz in March at UFC 196 and 202 was actually pay back time for the fighter.
