Oklahoma City Thunder's 99-96 win against the Boston Celtics on Sunday night had a double effect on star Russell Westbrook. While it ended his seven-game triple-double streak, he was able to regain his shooting percentage.

Finishing the game with 37 points, 24 of which came from the second half, he was able to make 14 of 26 shots. Translating to 54% shooting, this is significantly higher than the 38% he was producing in the last seven games.

According to USA Today, the low percentage bothered the five-time All Star, especially during their last loss against Houston. After a chat with his father, he was able to work the ball to his advantage, taking those shots and making the baskets.

He also capped the night with 12 rebounds and 6 assists, which unfortunately ended the seven-game streak he had, which was the longest run since 1989, held by "His Airness" Michael Jordan. The record for the longest triple-double is held by Wilt Chamberlain, who made the record in 1968.

Fox Sports reports that as the Celtics led for most of the game, Westbrook's driving layup give the Thunder the advantage, 96-94, with 30 seconds remaining in regulation. After Westbrook won the jump ball against Avery Bradley, Jerami Grant finished with a fast break, bringing the lead up to 4.

With 14.4 seconds left, Boston's Marcus Smart made a shot, closing the gap to 2 points. Westbrook splits his charities with 5.1 seconds on the clock. Smart attempted a 3-pointer to bring the game to overtime, which unfortunately bounces off, leading to the Thunder win.

Steven Adams contributed 16 points, while Enes Kanter made 14 points for Oklahoma. The team also finished with 14 of 27 free throws.

For Boston, Al Horford had 19 points to his name, while Jae Crowder and Bradley made 18 points each for the Celtics.

Oklahoma Thunder will be facing the Portland Trailblazers on Thursday.
