Before Apple's latest release of macOS, Macbook Pro users were reporting shorter battery life than the expected, on the new laptop. It was proving difficult for many reviewers to reach Apple's ten hour battery limit, as reviewers tested the laptop. The New Laptop could only achieved around five to six hours life and fails the company promise.

Its seems that Apple's solution to the problem was to stop showing the battery estimated time remaining. The Update to macOS 10.22 has removed the indicators which shows the hour and minute remaining before the battery dies. Given the under-clocking and variable power demands placed on the battery by the CPU, GPU, and system architecture, it could be argued that Apple would find it difficult to estimate the battery remaining on a user's unique MacBook Pro set-up. The counter point is that if anyone has the experience and the data, it would be Apple.

According to Forbes, the time remaining indicator was removed to the annoyance of many who lays out the arguments to keep the indicators on their blog. The force removal of the indicator is done by modifying some of the software that has led to greater battery endurance

Many reports are coming in favor of longer battery life of the 2016 MacBook Pro units which has installed the latest software updates. From six to seven hours it has turned to nine to ten hours of battery life.

As per TechInvestorNews, both the issues and the reported fixes, the sample sets coming in are small and have the possibility of being little more than random noise, but as more users are reporting their own results, the evidence of the fix is building.
