Rockstar Games has confirmed that it will soon be revealing the newest feature of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto video game: Grand Theft Auto Online.

According to multiple reports, the game developer will be pulling the cover off this new game mode for GTA 5 sometime in August.

While multiplayer action has already been available on previous GTA titles, this newest multiplayer mode of the video game will be online-based.

Nothing is confirmed about the new feature, but according to the Examiner, "the online multiplayer mode will support the crew feature from the Social Club software program." It will be an open-world that will be available to all GTA 5 gamers.

In the first trailer of the video game, a glimpse of Grand Theft Auto Online was previewed, showing a character looking down at the city of Los Santos while several other users were seen driving on the streets and flying around the area.

Along with the confirmation of the game's online component, Rockstar also sent out a few screenshots of GTA 5. IGN posted the images where gamers can see new views of GTA's gameplay before they get their hands on the game in a few months.

So far the game is expected to be a major hit as it drops in game stores Sept. 17. According to Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia, GTA 5 is also expected to increase the stock price for Take Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar.

"The upcoming GTA V catalyst will continue to propel shares higher," Bhatia told Forbes. "The company's solid product portfolio and management's guidance of profitability in FY15 and beyond should help improve investor confidence."
