For everyone out there that is above a certain age who remembered the time when "Mega Drive" marked the climax of gaming experiences, you might just find the best nostalgic game to your mobile repertoire with the announcement of "Chuckie Egg 2017," developed by Downsideup Games.

The game is an updated and stylish take on a retro platformer that follows the old classic jump and climbs tropes of 2D classic games like Rayman, Oddworld and Tiny Tune Adventure, complete with cartoon graphics to match it very perfectly. However, this really shouldn't come in as any surprise as the game is inspired and themed by the original "Chuckie Egg" game which was released way back in the early 1980's.

According to Pocket Gamer, the traditional gameplay, which is slightly updated for modern suitability, should lend itself well towards the games simple and straightforward controls, which will have you tapping and flicking your fingers to help Harry collect golden eggs before running into the dopey yet rather cute-looking ostriches, which is the main enemy in the game.

Aside from these ostriches, there is also a totally evil bird that's on a mission to ultimately stop Harry at all costs. There is a total of 25 levels to unlock, along with three distinctive themes and music to enjoy as you traverse and climb ladders, leap from platform to platform, and dodge your foes, all while trying to beat the clock, which is also a foe in the game, and reach success.

According to Gamasutra, "Chuckie Egg 2017" will be released on February 23, 2017 for iOS. An Android version of the game is also planned for release at a later date this year.

Just by reading about the game can already get anyone hooked, which is why interested players can definitely find out more on "Chuckie Egg 2017" when you check out its official Facebook page. Once releases, "Chuckie Egg 2017" will really attract a horde of nostalgic fans.
