Though it was confirmed news about Hugh Jackman's departure from the X-Men franchise, the future of Patrick Stewart was a bit in a limbo with no such news about his plans. Now some recent reports hint at Logan being the last outing for Patrick Stewart as well who plays the character of Charles Xavier in the film. 

In an interview with EW, Stewart made his intentions clear of leaving the mega-successful franchise after Logan's release. Though the movie star was uncertain about his move when talking to ET Online up until last week, saying that he was not ready to leave just yet. This decision was apparently made in an emotional situation when he was attending the screening in Berlin with his co-stars which included Hugh as well. According to the actor, he was very much moved by the ending of the movie and felt that it was the right time to leave for good reports, lrmonline.

Though this move is going to upset a lot of fans worldwide, Patrick's explanation for the decision must have brought them to tears at the same time. The actor was too emotionally involved in the franchise and feels a close connection to it. Hugh Jackman was also going through the same emotions when he decided to leave the movie series as this series was responsible for his superstardom. Hugh has now and before stated in a lot many interviews about how it changed his life and how much the franchise means to him reports, The Verge.

As much as the actors, Hugh and Patrick, loved the series, it was taking a toll on their life and health as well which made it quite difficult for them to continue. The X-Men world has been changed forever with the likes of such actors and the fans of the series will be forever indebted to them.
