Oprah Winfrey may be our next president after President Donald Trump in 2020. The talk show host revealed in an interview that she realized she doesn't need experience to run for office.

In an interview on "The David Rubenstein Show," Oprah Winfrey was asked about her thoughts of running as the President of the United States. The media mogul revealed that she first thought she had no chance because prior government experience is needed.

When she realized that it is not a requirement, Oprah Winfrey only said "Oh, Oh." According to CNN, David Rubenstein reiterated his question that government experience isn't required to run. The influential actress answered that she used to not know those things and that realization got her thinking.

Prior to the David Rubenstein show which was taped last December but only released this week, Oprah Winfrey was adamant about staying out of politics. The outlet adds that Winfrey bluntly said no when asked a similar question during her appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

During the last election, Oprah Winfrey was a staunch supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who lost against now President Donald Trump. This isn't the first time that Oprah Winfrey is linked to politics but many people have been thinking she should get into politics.

In fact, Donald Trump once revealed in a statement that he favored Oprah Winfrey as a running mate. Washington Post reports that he first came up with the idea in 1999 and then most recently in 2015. The self-made producer allegedly turned down Trump to be his Vice President and endorsed Clinton.
