The ABC TV series are in for a month-long hiatus despite its struggles to keep up with their Nielsen ratings. Apparently, there is news of contract renewal; other news that this may be their last season. But with the rising story of the "new world", the agents has entered, there are still a lot of questions left unanswered that the show needs to focus on.

What was left in the S.H.I.E.L.D was all Jemma and Daisy can do, being left with their real version. With the use of AIDA's Framework, they entered a "new world" to save their colleagues from staying too long in this imaginary place. But according to reports from SpoilersGuide, May will sacrifice herself to end this made-up world of AIDA, hinting on an explosion to the HQ.

The teaser as always was kept vague by executive producer Jed Whedon, owing it to the many other questions that the show has left off from its last episode. From the viewpoint of The Framework, this world was made for each of them to have at least one event to regret from their life. From Fitz statement prior to the explosion, the "seek and destroy mode" gives meaning to May's sacrifice "to end what they're doing". Based on reports from Entertainment Weekly, the agents or one of them may have an end to his or her life.

If this is true, then someone from the real world should convince the rest of the agents living in the "new world" to go back before this world gets destroyed by the evil plans of AIDA. Seemingly, the idea may be to put them all in one helpless place for them to be shattered with it. This and more are what is in store for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as it returns to air its new episode, "What If" on April 4, Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
