After launching the Moto Z smartphone with Moto Mods back in 2016, it looks like Motorola is all set with its next iteration of the premium smartphone. The company reportedly gave a teaser of the Moto Z (2017) at the recent MWC 2017 when it was showcasing new Mods and more recently was hinted at during Sprint's Gigabit-Class LTE service display on Thursday.

According to gizmo china a leaked photo of Moto Z (2017) that surfaced recently revealed that the upcoming flagship would be arriving with some changes in its basic design such as redesigned fingerprint sensors and a dual-tone selfie flash. Now, an alleged image of a mysterious Moto Z model placed on a gamepad Moto Mod that has surfaced from Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event is doing rounds.

As per Gadget 360, one of the most notable changes which have seen from the images that have circulated online is the new oval shaped fingerprint sensor. Meanwhile, the form factor largely remains the same, which is expected to support current and future Moto Mods. This means that fans can expect the next flagship to sport a 5.5-inches display size similar to last year's model. An image from the MWC event, complete with a Gamepad mode, was spotted by Android Central.

The device is expected to run on Snapdragon 835. The alleged Moto Z (2017) smartphone was covered from the edges making it difficult to confirm whether it was, in fact, the Moto Z (2017). The device was announced as the thinnest premium smartphone in the world at 5.2mm. The new flagship came up with a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and laser autofocus, and 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera with a wide-angle lens and a front flash.

Also, the Moto Mods accessories which are available for the first generation Moto Z would also be expected to be compatible with the upcoming Moto Z flagship. The Moto Z (2017) is speculated to launch in June this year.
