Arnold Schwarzenegger has rendered the ongoing speculations null and void regarding his return to a political career. The former Governor was entangled amidst rumors that his political return is focused on opposing Donald trump.

Arnold was previously reported entering the US Senate Race for 2018 in opposing the current president of the United States. He was supposedly tipped by the political enthusiasts to enter the 2018 race as a Republican or an independent so that he would have a legit platform to work against Trump.

However, according to The Guardian, Arnold has rescinded the infinite rumors in a Facebook post on Sunday, formally establishing that he is only interested in battling political gerrymandering, not the President. Arnold wrote that he aims to "bring sanity to Washington through redistricting reform likewise California."

"The Terminator," who was the governor of California from 2003 to 2011 blames the corrupt and malfunctioned system of gerrymandering. The actor will be, thus, working as an independent to alter the redistricting issues by kicking off political campaign for it.

Arnold and the president are considered to be at the two opposite poles when it comes to their political ideologies. He initially supported John Kasich in the Republican primaries, but later announced that he wouldn't be voting for Trump. Based on the nefarious yet unacceptable remarks stereotyping women, it was the first time that Arnold has not voted for a Republican candidate since he became a US citizen in 1983.

The controversy began when Trump mocked the actor's dwindling ratings as a host of The Celebrity Apprentice. The Twitter feud intensified when both of them were involved in a heated debate.

Arnold, however, announced that he won't be returning as a host of The New Celebrity Apprentice. The blame was placed on Trump as his executive producer role and constant involvement made the show deliver lower ratings. Trump tweeted that Arnold had not resigned, but has been fired because of poor ratings.
