The new flagship rumored till now for Nokia 8 could be called the Nokia 9, making space for two more variants now expected above the already selling Nokia 6. The Nokia 7 and Nokia 8, if they would be called so, are placed below the flagship as comes from the specifications which is leaked by Nokiapoweruser.

According to Digit, with Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 clearly targeting the budget segment of Android, it was anticipated that Nokia's next smartphone would be a flagship device. The new report by Nokiapoweruser, however, says that the next smartphone will be a mid-range smartphone and equipped with Qualcomm's yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 660 chipset. The retail names of these devices are yet to be finalized, but it is believed to be called Nokia 7 and Nokia 8.

As per BRG, the Nokia 8 smartphone is expected to be packed with a 5.7-inches Super AMOLED bezel-less display offering QHD resolution. The smartphone is expected to come with internal storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The device is rumored to come with a 24-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization. The smartphone might come with a 12-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. Bringing back the nostalgia, Nokia might use the Carl Zeiss lens which it used used in the Nokia N8 which was back then considered to be the best camera phone of its time.

The Nokia 8 was initially rumored to come with Qualcomm's top-end 830 processor with 4GB/6GB of RAM options. But the latest rumors indicate at Snapdragon 660 processor. The device will be priced at CNY 4,000 (Rs 38,400 approximately). The higher variant is said to be cost around CNY 4,500 which rounds off to Rs 43,500). Both smartphones will pack Fast Charging, Fingerprint scanners, improved and bigger camera sensors.
