Amy Schumer will no longer play Barbie in the upcoming "Barbie" live action film based on the Mattel doll. The comedian and actress has cited that she cannot commit to the Sony film due to "scheduling conflicts."

Amy Schumer's role in the "Barbie" live action film will have her character rejected from Barbieland. It is basically because she doesn't fit the standards of the place so she goes to the real world but has to go back to Barbieland to save others.

Variety reports that the "Barbie" live action film is supposed to start filming on June. However, with Amy Schumer out of the project, Sony and Mattel are looking for her replacement. It is currently not known who will replace the actress.

Sony and Mattel plan to release the "Barbie" live action movie by June 29, 2018. The film will be produced by Amy Pascal, Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. With Amy Schumer out of the project, it is not known if changes to the script will be made to fit the next actress to take the Barbie role.

Amy Schumer started the Instagram post with a positive message about herself and for being asked to play in the "Barbie" live action movie. She then thanked her supporters and finally addressed her online bullies by saying that she feels sorry for them.

A Sony spokesperson released a statmenti n the midst of Amy Schumer's exit of the "Barbie" live action film. The spokesperson said that they respect the actress' decision and looks forward to bringing the movie next year. More information regarding the cast of the movie will be released soon.
