It's still long ways to go before LeBron James can surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time NBA scoring mark. But on Tuesday, the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar has managed to surpass the Lakers Legend in one measure of point production.

According to ESPN, against the Orlando Magic the other night, LeBron James scored his 10th point on a fast-break layup to tie the game at 49 in the second quarter. That mark made it James' 788th straight game in which he had scored in double digits, moving him past then second placer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (787) for the second-longest scoring streak in NBA history.

The G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan, is currently first with 866. LeBron James finished the game with 18 points in the Cavaliers' 122-102 win over the Magic. The last time James wasn't able to score at least 10 points was way back on January 5, 2007, against the Milwaukee Bucks, when he only had eight points.

According to s9.taherly, LeBron James is currently seventh on the NBA all-time scoring list with 28,692 points and counting. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, with 38,387, is current is first, with Jordan fourth with 32,292 points.

Of all the people, it was Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue, who was less than impressed by LeBron James' mark of consistency in the scoring department. Lue explained that it really doesn't make sense since, with the extreme talent that is LeBron James, who is widely considered to be the best player on the planet, people should already be expecting him to score in double digits every single night.

Lue then went on to back up his notion by explaining things through a simple estimation. "10 points is one bucket a quarter and then a free throw in each half," Lue said. "If you don't believe that LeBron James can do that then we shouldn't be sitting here talking.

When a reported suggested that James' streak had been threatened multiple times ever since he returned in Cleveland, Lue discouraged the notion and went on to say ten points is automatic for a guy like LeBron James.
