Bungie and Activision have confirmed that "Destiny 2" will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The original game which was released in 2014 was only largely available on consoles. There have been reports that the PC version of the game will be distributed via Steam.

The release date for "Destiny 2" was only recently confirmed. The original game since it was released, has gained a major cult following in the years after because Bungie and Activision kept releasing expansions.

According to Telegraph, "Destiny" will finally end with the last event called "Age of Triumph" in preparation for "Destiny 2." The upcoming game will be a sequel to the events in first game and will feature an all-new story with some returning characters.

The reveal trailer for "Destiny 2" had some players hyped for the game as it involves a clearer storyline. Forbes reports that the story will begin with the downfall of the Last City and the Tower by the Cabal which is led by Ghaul.

Guardians and survivors of the siege will have to make their way to each other. "Destiny 2" will have players level up with each fight and equip new weapons, abilities and items to be able to defeat Ghaul and his army to take back the Last City.

Unfortunately for those who are wondering if they can keep their loot from the original game to "Destiny 2," they can't. Bungie has confirmed that they can use their character's physical appearance, race and gender in the sequel but none of the loot.

The story in "Destiny 2" explains that Ghaul has taken the Guardians' powers and loot which explains why players cannot take their items. Furthermore, Bungie has promised that there will be new and exciting items for players to seek and enjoy in the sequel.
