The Cleveland Cavaliers got the luck of the ping pong balls during the lottery, giving them the enviable task of picking between three of the top prospects in the 2014 NBA Draft: Joel Embiid, Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker.

According to ESPN insider Chad Ford, most league executives are convinced that the Cavaliers will end up picking Embiid over his Kansas teammate Wiggins and Duke star Parker.

However, the Cavaliers could shift their attention to Wiggins and Parker if medical examinations reveal that Embiid's problematic back could be a long-time concern and if team owner Dan Gilbert gets in general manager David Griffin's way.

Embiid missed the 2014 NCAA Tournament because of a stress fracture in his back. Gilbert, on the other hand, is looking for immediate results, which could force Griffin to go with Wiggins or Parker, who are both capable of making immediate impact for the Cavaliers in their rookie season.

"While the Cavs have been mum on who they will take No. 1 in the draft -- various factions within the organization have been stumping for Embiid, Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker -- there is a growing consensus within the organization that if the Cavs' doctors give Embiid's back the green light, he'll be the choice of general manager David Griffin for the No. 1 pick," Ford said.

Previous reports also indicated that Cleveland might consider trading the top pick to land a proven superstar, but NBA analyst Gery Woelfel said that the Cavaliers are not planning to give up the pick but have "honed in" on Embiid.

"Several NBA officials told me the Cavs have no desire to unload the top pick and have honed in on Joel Embiid," Woelfel posted on his Twitter account.

The Philadelphia 76ers were allegedly one of the most aggressive suitors for the Cavaliers' first-overall pick as they are looking to land Wiggins.

According to Ford, the 76ers are planning to offer the No. 3 pick along with veteran forward Thaddeus Young, but analysts believe that a package involving Philadelphia's No. 3 and No. 10 pick is the only attractive offer to the Cavaliers.
