Miley Cyrus just dropped the official release date of her new album, and it arrives in less than 8 weeks.

Yesterday, the "We Can't Stop" singer teased fans about her upcoming album Bangerz. Sending several tweets about her upcoming record, Miley initially revealed to her fans that an official release date has been set.

"Just received the official release date of #BANGERZ who wants to knowwwww," she teased.

Encouraging her legion of followers -- known as Smilers -- to help her trend "#votemiley", Miley sent out this tweet to her 13.1 million followers:

"Trend #votemiley & imma let ya know when ya getting BANGED #bangerz," she posted. The young singer then followed it with another teasing post: "Who's ready for #Bangerz"

Not too long after the series of posts, Cyrus made the announcement on her official account, revealing the release date for her new album in a simple 15-character tweet.

"#BANGERZ #Oct8th," she tweeted.

Just last week, Miley revealed the title of her new album -- her fourth studio album. According to E! Online, the former Disney Channel star introduced Bangerz shortly after hitting her 13-million-follower milestone on the social networking site, Twitter.

"If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ," Cyrus posted Aug. 7.

Aside from Miley's new album, her relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth have also been cause for rumors lately.

Plenty of reports have circulated saying that the two have already called it quits. However, Miley attending the red carpet premiere of Liam's newest film "Paranoia" earlier this month seemed to debunk rumors.

Moreover, even with the singer's younger sister, Noah, revealing that wedding plans are on hold, it doesn't seem like the wedding is off. She even thanked her "boo" while accepting an award at the Teen Choice Awards Sunday.
