Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed President Joe Biden and other officials for misjudging the "Trump vaccine."

New York Post reported that Sanders issued the comments on Sunday, July 25, as she confirmed that she received a COVID vaccine, which she referred to as the "Trump vaccine."

Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders Slams Biden and Some Officials

According to Washington Examiner, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is now running for governor of Arkansas, accused Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of encouraging vaccine hesitancy by questioning the ability of the Trump administration to produce safe and effective vaccines rapidly.

Sanders noted that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris should admit they were wrong to cast doubt on "Operation Warp Speed," a public and private partnership forged under the Trump administration that came up with the vaccines to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the two officials should give former President Donald Trump and his team the credit they are due for developing a safe and effective vaccine in record time.

"If President (Joe) Biden, Vice President Harris, and others on the left truly care about increasing the vaccination rate and saving lives, they should admit they were wrong to cast doubt on Operation Warp Speed," Sanders noted.

In an opinion piece in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the former White House press secretary also slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institutes of Health, for "misjudging" the "Trump vaccine."

She noted that Fauci and the "because 'science says so' crowd of arrogant, condescending political and bureaucracies" were wrong about their mandates and shutdowns that have inflicted "incalculable harm" on people and the economy.

Apart from hitting Joe Biden and other officials, Sarah Huckabee Sanders urged the people to take the "Trump vaccine."

"It's clear that Trump vaccine works and is saving lives," said Sanders, adding that she was inoculated by the jab months ago. Sanders further noted that "she was reassured" after Donald Trump and his family were vaccinated.

"If getting vaccinated was safe enough for them, I felt it was safe enough for me," the former White House press secretary said.

Despite her encouragement of the vaccine, the Arkansas governor hopeful acknowledged that getting vaccinated was a personal decision.

"I understand that the decision of to be vaccinated is deeply personal and not an easy one to make," Sanders noted, adding that it was not her place to tell others what to do.

It can be recalled that left-leaning states recently implemented restrictions to stop the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.

COVID Cases Across the U.S.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders' encouragement of taking the vaccine came as the COVID cases in the U.S. continue to rise. Citing data from John Hopkins University, USA Today reported that more than 34.4 million confirmed COVID cases were recorded in the U.S.

Meanwhile, as of July 22, the World Health Organization (WHO) recorded at least 241 million vaccine doses administered in the country.

On Sunday, July 25, Fauci said the U.S. was in the "wrong direction," adding that the COVID cases will continue to climb unless more Americans get vaccinated. Despite the number of vaccines administered, Fauci noted that 50 percent of the U.S. have not yet been fully vaccinated.
