The bidding war for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love is heating up as new reports indicate that the Denver Nuggets offered a trade package involving Kenneth Faried.

ESPN insider Chris Broussard reported on Thursday night that the Nuggets are willing to trade Faried along with Wilson Chandler and the 11th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft for Love and Kevin Martin.

Boston Herald reporter Steve Bulpett, on the other hand, said that the Nuggets also offered Faried, Chandler, and Arron Afflalo, who will be acquired from the Orlando Magic in a separate deal.

However, analysts believe the proposed trade is unlikely to happen because Love is not interested in moving to Denver, unless the Nuggets are willing to take a risk.

Love, who averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game last season, is expected to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Interested teams will naturally ask for a long-term commitment from Love before giving up assets in a trade for the All-Star power forward.

Aside from the Nuggets, the Golden State Warriors are also in talks with the Timberwolves about a potential trade for Love, and most analysts consider them as a more likely destination for the former UCLA standout.

The Warriors are reportedly willing to part ways with Klay Thompson and David Lee for Love and Kevin Martin, but the Timberwolves are reportedly pushing for more assets.

Sources for ESPN indicated that the Timberwolves want a future first round pick in the deal, but the Warriors are still unsure whether or not giving up a first-rounder will be beneficial in the long run.

The Timberwolves are also interested in acquiring incoming third-year forward Harrison Barnes. Negotiations are expected to intensify before the draft on Thursday.

Love allegedly listed the Warriors as one of his desired landing spot as he is intrigued about the possibility of playing alongside All-Star guard Stephen Curry.
