Ex-Giants Quarter Back Victor Cruz refused to name Tom Brady as NFL's "Greatest of All Time" (GOAT) as he gave the title to Giant's Eli Manning.

According to Giants Wire, Cruz made his comments during an interview with Bleacher report this week, saying that he will always agree to the statement that Eli Manning is the GOAT.

"Anytime you put the word Eli Manning and the word 'GOAT' in the same sentence, I'm just going to say yes. He's one of the best to do it," Cruz said explaining that Manning's attention and approach speak why he should be GOAT.

Cruz also noted that Manning took down Brady twice, noting that the Giants star was a "GOAT SLAYER."

"He took down Brady twice. Undefeated Brady and then round two Brady - (that) in my mind is the football gods, you never know... He's the GOAT as well as the GOAT slayer," Cruz said.

According to Giants Wire, Victor Cruz was not the only former Giants who think Brady is not the NFL's GOAT. The outlet noted that several players including Justin Tuck, Mario Manningham, Hakeem Nicks, and Chase Blackburn also think the same way.

Ex-NFL QB Joe Montana on Tom Brady as GOAT

Cruz's comments came as Ex-NFL quarter-back Joe Montana, who won four Super Bowl titles during his active years in the sport, also weighed whether Brady should be called GOAT.

In an interview with The Spun, Montana did not blatantly address the question, explaining that "It's hard to compare eras," per Sports Illustrated.

Montana said that Brady had an undoubtedly tremendous career, but he explained that it is hard for him to label someone GOAT due to the difference in the NFL players from different eras.

It can be recalled that Montana said in March that he considered Brady the GOAT.

Although Montana did not blatantly call Brady the GOAT, he said in March that Tom deserves the title due to his "accomplishments" when he was still active in the field.

Tom Brady and Eli Manning

The rivalry of Eli Manning and Tom Brady in the field started at a time when the Bucs quarterback was still with the New England Patriots, per Sportskeeda.

It can be recalled that Eli Manning is the only quarterback in the NFL history to beat Tom Brady during Super Bowl.

If not for Manning, Brady would have nine Super Bowl rings over the seven that the former quarterback currently has.

Manning's overall record against Tom Brady is known to be 3-2, of that number, two are reportedly Super Bowl wins.

One of the most notable matches against Manning and Brady was during the Super Bowl XLII.

The New York Giants entered the final game with a record of 10-6 while Brady's team at that time, New England Patriots, went ahead with a 16-0 record.

The Giants took down the Patriots with a 17-14 win. Eli Manning was hailed as the Super Bowl MVP during that time.

The giants once again took down Patriots four years after in the Super Bowl XLVI and the Giants won with a score of 21-17. During this time, Elli Manning also bagged the Super Bowl MVP Trophy.
