Florida police on Monday released the mugshot of the 10-year-old boy who threatened a mass shooting through a text message on Saturday.

The Daily Mail identified the Florida boy as Daniel Isaac Marquez.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, who calls himself the sunshine state's "law and order sheriff," defended their department's move to disclose the identity of the juvenile, contending that a child who pulled the trigger equals the same effects as an adult does it.

"I did a campaign. Fake threat, real consequence. While I understand the boy is 10 years old. His brain's not fully developed, he's a juvenile, I have to tell you. When a 10-year-old presses a trigger, the aftermath is the same regardless of the age," Marceno underscored.

The sheriff also stressed that every single threat is real until proven untrue.

Marceno also noted that he holds the parents of the 10-year-old accountable, urging them not to leave them in a room online. Marceno furthered that they have seen juveniles searching for Columbine and how to commit mass hooting and buy guns on the black market.

"Nothing is off limits today. I need the parents to be parents, guardians to be guardians and make sure they monitor their children," Marceno emphasized.

The Florida sheriff highlighted that as of Monday, no charges were filed against the parents of the 10-year-old boy, arguing that there are no appropriate or applicable charges for them.

Florida Boy Arrested Over Mass Shooting Threat: New Details Emerge

The release of the 10-year-old's mugshot came a few days after he was arrested by the Florida police after he wrote a message threatening to conduct a mass shooting.

The said Florida boy was a student from Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral.

On Monday, the Florida police released the arrest report containing new details on the text message sent by the 10-year-old.

The boy allegedly claimed in his text that he scammed his friend with a Google image of money. Moments later, the 10-year-old said that he had bought something, attaching a photo of four assault rifles.

The boy then told the recipient of the message to "get ready for water day," referencing a school event.

Marceno pointed out that the Florida boy used "get ready" to commit a mass shooting and that he also described "wads of cash."

Reports claimed that the Florida boy was charged with making a written threat to conduct a mass shooting. Youth Services Criminal Investigations Division took over the case due to the age of the boy.

Another Florida Student Arrested Over Mass Shooting Threats

The details of the alleged text messages sent by the 10-year-old were released the same day another Florida student was arrested over a threat of a mass shooting.

The Florida student was identified as 18-year-old Corey Anderson from Lutz, Florida. Anderson was arrested on Sunday after police were tipped off about his disturbing social media post.

According to reports, Anderson posted a photo of a rifle, handgun, and a tactical vest online with the caption: "Hey Siri, directions to the nearest school."

Anderson was then charged with a felony following his arrest.

"This type of threat is unacceptable. This man intentionally instilled fear into our community as a sick joke, but be warned, this is no laughing matter," Sheriff Chad Chronister said.

The Florida student could face up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
