A Texas man accused of murder was arrested by the Houston Police Department. He was identified as Patrick Xavier Clark.

The 33-year-old Texas man was believed to be responsible for a fatal shooting outside a bowling alley in downtown Houston on November 1, which resulted in the death of Migos rapper Takeoff.

Police said Takeoff was an "innocent bystander," who was struck by gunfire during an argument. Two other people were also injured during the fatal shooting.

HPD Sergeant Michael Burrow noted that the argument was rooted in a "lucrative" game of dice, with police saying they do not believe that Takeoff was involved in the dice game and have no information to suggest that he was.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said they are glad that a suspect has been arrested and charged with the Migos rapper's death.

Turner added that he thinks the arrest will bring some comfort to the family but will not bring Takeoff back.

Fatal Shooting Involving Migos Rapper Takeoff

Prosecutors recently asked the court to set Clark's bond at $1 million. They argued that the suspect is a flight risk as he has applied for an expedited passport by submitting the itinerary for an "imminent" flight to Mexico after the shooting.

Prosecutors added that Clark was arrested that day he received the passport and was in possession of a "large amount" of cash.

Police also charged 22-year-old Cameron Joshua with unlawful possession of a weapon. He is believed to be one of the dozens who attended the party at 810 Billiards & Bowling at the time.

The witness of the fatal shooting quickly scattered after the shots were fired.

Burrow said during a press conference that law enforcement authorities will still be looking to find witnesses but that it will be easier if they were to come to the police.

Authorities do not believe that Joshua fired the weapon that took Takeoff's life.

Takeoff's Death in Shooting

Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene outside the bowling alley. The 28-year-old rapper was a member of the trio Migos and was described as the "most lowkey member."

Takeoff was born Kirsnick Khari Ball and grew up in suburban Atlanta with the two other members of the group.

Quavo was his uncle and Offset was his cousin. The trio was raised in large part by Takeoff's mother.

Quavo and Offset have both released solo albums, unlike the late rapper.

Meanwhile, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner shared that he had received several calls about Takeoff after the shooting. Finner said that every caller talked about how "a great young man" Takeoff was and what a great artist he was.

In November, a coroner revealed that Takeoff was shot several times in the head and torso, leading to his death.

Penetrating gunshot wounds of the head and torso into his arm were the listed cause of death of the rapper, according to Harris County Medical Examiner.
