Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny was recently caught on camera snatching the cellphones of two fans and throwing them to the ground at a bar in the Dominican Republic.

According to Daily Mail, the controversial seven-second video shows the 28-year-old reggaeton artist making his way through a crowd inside the bar in the Altos de Chavón village in La Romana City on Sunday, when he suddenly snatched a cellphone from a fan, tossed it back, and then snatched another mobile device and flipped it across the surprised customers.

That incident happened after the Grammy Award-winning musician was seen in another video taking a woman's mobile phone and tossing it into the water under a bridge.

The unnamed fan went to Bad Bunny for a selfie, but the rapper, who seemed bothered by the crowd following him on the bridge, lost his cool.

The woman stood helplessly as her phone flew away, while another voice exclaimed in Spanish, "Wow, seriously?"

Puerto Rican Superstar Bad Bunny Explains Why He Threw His Fans' Cellphones

Bad Bunny is asking his fans to be polite and respectful if they wish to take selfies with him.

After footage of him throwing the fan's mobile phone into a body of water in the Dominican Republic went viral this week, the rapper tweeted an explanation for his actions, PEOPLE reported.

Translated from Spanish, Bad Bunny tweeted on Monday: "The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect."

He added, "Those who come and put a f--king phone in my face, I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect, and I will treat it likewise."

Bad Bunny met thousands of his fans last week and had a far more positive affair with them.

The musician distributed more than 25,000 presents to his fans at his Good Bunny Foundation's Bonita Tradición gift drive in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on December 27.

The Good Bunny Foundation reportedly gave away art materials and sports equipment, and instruments to his fans. The event featured a meet-and-greet with Bad Bunny and had live music, food, and drinks.

Bad Bunny's Bad Behavior in Dominican Republic Rakes Different Reactions

Bad Bunny has been criticized for his bad behavior in the Dominican Republic. However, there were still others who backed the Puerto Rican performer.

"Fame got to you, and you no longer remember being a fan of someone and the emotion they may feel when they meet their idol," a Twitter user said.

Another user tweeted: "As a person, you suck. You are disrespectful and inconsiderate with women. An apology is what that lady deserves, not another tweet insulting her."

However, influencer Un Tal Fredo defended the Puerto Rican star and told his fans to respect the rapper's personal space.

He said the fans should also think that the artists are humans who should always be treated with respect. He noted that a fan should ask permission before recording the artist offstage.

A Twitter user agreed and said: "Look people this is simple. Respect and everything goes well. Common sense."

Another netizen added that throwing away a phone may not be a good idea, "but do you know what it's like to have your space invaded 24/7?"
