Legendary late-night comedian and car enthusiast Jay Leno was caught up in a horrific motorcycle accident just two months after requiring surgery for receiving serious burns. However, he seemed okay after joking that he ran into Jeremy Renner's snowplow.

The former "Tonight Show" host spoke with the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Thursday, and he revealed that the accident happened on January 17 and then stated that he broke his collarbone and two ribs, as well as cracked his kneecaps.

Leno stated that he was testing his vintage 1940 motorcycle when he smelled the scent of gasoline. Having learned his lesson from his burn incident, he decided to turn down a side street and cut through a parking lot. However, his motorcycle ran into a wire strung across a parking lot that had no flag hanging to warn motorists. It was too late and the comedian got caught up in it, causing the accident.

Jay Leno Accident Happened Two Months After Garage Fire That Caused Him Severe Burns

Leno is always around vintage cars and has one of the most legendary car collections on Earth. However, that love of cars and motorcycles may have almost cost him his life when one of those cars caused a garage fire that hospitalized him.

According to CBS News, Leno was repairing the fuel line on a vintage car when an explosion occurred leaving him with third-degree burns on his face, hands, and chest. The comedian required extensive surgeries soon after.

Aside from surgery, Leno also had to undergo several other treatments, including the hyperbaric chamber that was supposed to decrease swelling, increase blood flow with good oxygenation and decrease bacteria.

However, the car show host recovered quickly and was in good humor soon after the incident. As he was recovering, the comedian insisted he was okay and just needed a few weeks to rest and recover. Soon, he was back on the road and into another accident.

Jay Leno References Jeremy Renner's Snowplow Accident in a Joke About His Accident

Leno was seen driving again soon after barely recovering from the accident. In the video, he even joked about Jeremy Renner, who was also involved in a scary vehicular accident.

The former "Jay Leno's Garage" host joked in the video, "I was riding my motorcycle up in Lake Tahoe, I came around the corner and crashed into Jeremy Renner's snowplow."

This was a clear reference to "The Avengers" star's horrific New Year's Day snowplowing accident that left him with over 30 broken bones. Renner was plowing snow in his northern Nevada home when he got off to help a stranded motorist. However, the snowplow somehow moved again and ran over the actor. Nobody else was hurt in the accident and the snow plow was soon towed away that very day.

As for Leno, the comedian admitted that he did not talk much about his latest accident because, during his November burn incident, it received too much media attention, according to Fox News.
