A few months after his harrowing snowplow accident on New Year's Day, Jeremy Renner finally speaks out about what happened on that fateful day to ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer.

The exclusive interview will air on April 6 at 10:00 p.m. ET on ABC and the next day on Hulu. The Disney-owned network has released a few clips from that tell-all which is titled, "Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph."

While snowplowing a road near his home in Nevada, Renner tried helping his nephew whose car was stuck in the snow. This happened during a freak New Year's Eve snowstorm earlier. However, the "Avengers" star's 7-ton Sno-Cat snowplow ran him over as he tried to protect his nephew.

Renner survived but had to be airlifted to a hospital in Reno. He suffered 30 broken bones and had to undergo multiple surgeries. He also suffered blunt force trauma to his chest.

However, the actor best known for his role as "Hawkeye" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe kept fighting. He recently posted a video of himself undergoing physical therapy as he tried walking on an anti-gravity treadmill.

In the trailer for the interview, Sawyer asked the actor if he remembered the pain, to which he replied, "Oh, all of it, yeah, I was awake through every moment." The actor added that he would do it again and said that the snowplow was going right at his nephew.

The massive Sno-Cat had been featured in various social media posts by the actor prior to the incident. It was towed away by authorities after the incident, but Renner recently stated that it had already been returned to him.

Jeremy Renner Was Awake During the Entire Ordeal

The experience was a very painful one for Renner, who admitted in the interview that he was awake during the entire ordeal, from the time his snowplow started rolling to the time he was run over and pulled under its track. "All of it. I was awake through every moment," the actor said.

The nephew whom he rescued would later recall seeing the actor in a pool of blood that was "coming from his head." When he ran to the "Hawkeye" actor, he thought that his uncle was not alive anymore, according to Yahoo! News,

According to Yahoo! News, the actor said he heard a voice that urged him to "keep fighting." He also recalled thinking, "What's my body going to look like? Am I just going to be a spine and a brain like a science experiment?

Jeremy Renner Says He Chose to Survive

Dianne Sawyer recalled all the injuries Renner suffered.

"Eight ribs broken in 14 places," the ABC News anchor said. "Right knee. Right ankle broken. Left leg tibia broken. The left ankle broken. Right clavicle broken. Right shoulder broken. Face eye socket, the jaw, the mandible broken. Lung collapsed. Pierced from the rib bone, your liver, which sounds terrible."

She also asked the actor, "I heard that you had, in sign language, you said to your family, 'I'm sorry.'"

To this, Renner said, "I chose to survive. That's not gonna kill me, no way." He stated that he has lost a lot of flesh and blood in the incident but has since been "refuelled and refilled with love and titanium."
