The Sussexes have reached a split decision when it comes to their attendance at the upcoming King Charles coronation, with Prince Harry announcing almost a week ago that he will be present at the event.

However, Meghan Markle has reached a different decision when it comes to King Charles's coronation, with the Duchess of Sussex saying that she will remain in the United States with her children, as reported by MARCA.

It took a while before Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision on whether or not to attend Charles's coronation.

The coronation of the new monarch was the same day that Archie, the Sussex couple's son, will turn four.

Aside from the scheduling of the event, it was also reported that the duchess does not want to be placed in the spotlight and wants to avoid any rumors about her and her family.

One source noted that Markle doesn't want to be in the public eye.

The source went on to say that Markle does not want any more "rifts," while saying that she wants Archie and Lilibet to know their grandfather, especially since they are not going to meet their other grandfather on Markle's side.

The source said that Markle believes it was best "to keep the attention to His Majesty."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Attendance

The royal family and Harry have not seen each other since his controversial memoir "Spare" was published.

The monarch reacted to the decision of the Sussex couple when it comes to their attendance at his scheduled coronation.

One source noted in Us Weekly Magazine that Charles is "sad" that Markle will not be around during his coronation, with the new monarch reportedly hoping it would be an opportunity for the both of them to "better connect" while also healing the relationship gap between them.

Another source noted that he is, however, thrilled that his youngest son will be present during the ceremony.

Unidentified sources claimed that the royal family has "no interest" in talking with Harry at the coronation, according to New York Post.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that Kate Middleton is "relieved" that Markle will not be around for the coronation.

King Charles's Coronation

BBC News reported that more than 6,000 armed forces members will be part of Charles's coronation, making the ceremony one of the largest military ceremonial operations in 70 years.

The coronation procession will feature around 4,000 personnel, accompanying Charles as he makes the tour from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

Emmy-nominated composer Sarah Class has been announced as the latest composer chosen by the King to write music for the event.

Meanwhile, a YouGov poll cited by Independent showed that most British people are "not interested" in the coronation.

However, many said that they would still watch or participate in the festivities.

The survey was conducted with 3,000 adults, with 35% saying that they "do not care very much"; 29% said they "do not care at all."

Around 24% of the participants said they care "a fair amount" while only 9% said that they care "a great deal."
