Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx remains hospitalized in Georgia to undergo tests to determine what caused his "medical complication" last week.

The 55-year-old actor was in Atlanta filming the Netflix movie "Back in Action." The "Django Unchained" actor was hospitalized last April 11 after a health scare.

He was reportedly not on the film set during that health-related incident and was not rushed to the hospital by an emergency vehicle.

However, the actor was still in the medical facility a week later. A source with knowledge of the actor's situation told CNN that "they are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened."

Another source told PEOPLE magazine that Foxx is steadily improving and continues to recover inside the hospital. The incident was made public by Foxx's daughter, Corinne Foxx, last Wednesday.

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," she said in a statement posted on Instagram.

Filming for Jamie Foxx Movie 'Back in Action' Expected to Wrap up This Week

While the actor is still in the hospital, Jamie Foxx's castmates and the crew of the Netflix film, "Back in Action," have continued working on the movie without him. They have reportedly used a stand-in for several scenes where Foxx was supposed to appear.

Another source confirmed to CNN that filming is "currently underway despite Foxx being hospitalized." The source added that filming is expected to wrap up this week.

However, it is still unclear if Foxx still has scenes to film or whether he would come back to shoot some scenes after being discharged from the hospital.

'Back in Action' Filming Plagued With Troubles

While his medical condition was not made public, fans have speculated that Jamie Foxx suffered a stroke due to stress while filming "Back in Action."

However, Fandom Wire reported that the actor-singer's health scare was not the only problem plaguing the set.

Aside from Foxx, the film also features Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz, who recently came out of retirement but reportedly wanted to retire again after the problems surrounding the project.

According to reports, Diaz hates drama and confrontation, so she retired in the first place. With all the production problems, it seemed it was making her want to quit showbiz again.

There was also a bomb scare while filming in London. According to reports, an unexploded bomb from World War II was found on the London set when two action scenes were getting filmed.

Authorities were also called on the set after several production members were found trying to scam Foxx out of 33,000 sterling pounds with a luxury Rolex watch. He reportedly fired four staff members over this incident.
