Country singer and songwriter Kellie Pickler has broken her silence following the passing of her husband, Kyle Jacobs, who tragically died at the age of 49 in late February, per Billboard.

In an emotional statement, Pickler shared her insights into how she's been navigating this challenging time and paying tribute to the lessons her late husband left behind.

Reflecting on her husband's wisdom, Pickler revealed, "One of the most beautiful lessons my husband taught me was in a moment of crisis if you don't know what to do, 'Do nothing, just be still.'"

She shared that she has followed his advice, embracing stillness to cope and heal.

During her grief journey, Pickler expressed her heartfelt gratitude to friends, family, and fans who have stood by her side.

She acknowledged the outpouring of love through letters, calls, and messages, emphasizing that these gestures have touched her soul and aided her during the darkest phase of her life.

She added that many have assured her of their prayers, offering a comforting sense of unity.

Looking ahead, Pickler disclosed her plans for a private memorial service for her late husband by his wishes.

The intimate gathering will take place later in the fall as a poignant tribute to the man she loved. The statement was signed off with Pickler's heartfelt words: "Love & Blessings, Kellie."

Autopsy Confirms Kyle Jacobs' Cause of Death

Kyle Jacobs died by suicide, the Davidson County Medical Examiner confirmed.

An autopsy report obtained by PEOPLE in May shed light on Kyle Jacobs' cause of death. The toxicology results indicated the absence of drugs in his system at his death.

However, Jacobs had a history of "pseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use."

Pseudoseizures, which resemble epileptic seizures but are rooted in psychological factors, were identified as contributing factors.

The Nashville Police Department had been alerted to a situation on February 17. Upon arrival, they discovered Jacobs deceased.

On that fateful day, Pickler woke up and could not locate her husband. With the assistance of her aide, they contacted the police after being unable to open a door within their residence.

The details underscore the emotional turmoil surrounding that moment.

Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs

Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs' love story began when they eloped on New Year's Day in 2011, according to Yahoo! Entertainment.

As Pickler solidified her presence in the country music scene, Jacobs made his mark as a songwriter, collaborating with notable artists such as Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw.

His contributions to songs like "More Than a Memory," "Hard to Love," and "Rumor" earned him recognition.

The couple's journey intertwined with fellow American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson, and they also shared their lives on the CMT reality show, "I Love Kellie Pickler."

In an unfortunate twist of timing, just a day before his passing, Jacobs took to social media to celebrate the success of Lee Brice's platinum single "Hey World," a co-written song.

The joyous post was met with sorrow as news of his passing emerged.

Prior to this, on January 1, 2023, Kellie and Kyle celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary, with Jacobs posting a touching tribute to his wife.
